Announcements — and why they're off

When the Evidence Engine publishes something, it can announce it on LinkedIn or your Google Business Profile. Both are off until you turn them on, per campaign.

Why they're off by default

Because connecting an account for one purpose should not volunteer it for another. Posting to somebody's professional feed, publishing under their byline, or putting an update on their public business listing are three different things to agree to, and agreeing to one says nothing about the others — so each is a separate choice.

Turning one on

Open a campaign → SmartStack → Settings. Each surface has its own card, and each states the volume before you choose, not after: • LinkedIn — at most one digest post a day: what went live and why, with one link. Not a post per page. • Google Business Profile — at most one post per location per day, and never the same text twice within a fortnight. Nothing is ever announced that a stranger cannot open: the link is checked anonymously first, so a private Google file is held back rather than posted as a dead link.

If your posts have stopped

That is this change, and it is deliberate. Google Business Profile posts used to go out through any connected account on the workspace, without anybody choosing it. They now need the same explicit opt-in LinkedIn has had since 14 August. Tick the campaign you want and they resume.

A feed is somebody's professional presence and a business listing is public. The channel is a guest there — which is why the limits are the offer rather than the small print.
